Unlike some gamers who are skeptical of AI’s ability to replace the craft and artistry behind video game development, many industry leaders believe it will soon transform the medium. NCSoft is introducing an AI-powered Digital Human narrator in their upcoming action-adventure Justice Online, while Obsidian Entertainment is using it to power the sandbox RPG Pentiment. And generative AI is promising to bring the magic of storytelling to the screen by automatically creating original video game stories and characters.
